Our peaceful Park is set within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (ANOB), with stunning views of the famous Plymouth Breakwater and Cornish Coast.
We offers just 12 luxury mobile holiday homes to rent. All are under two years of age, double glazed and centrally heated.
Our location is unique - an unspoilt wooded valley running down from the hills of Staddon Heights and opening onto a safe sandy beach. From here you can walk along the coastal path for miles and enjoy the spectacular views.
At the Bovisand Lodge Estate there is no club or organised entertainment. Our aim is to retain a quiet, happy environment that ensures guests return year after year. Generations of guests have enjoyed the peace and tranquillity and appreciate the quality environment which has made their stay memorable and special.
Other facilities Facilities at the Bovisand Lodge Estate include a magnificent indoor heated swimming pool complex which is only open to holiday makers, residents and their guests, comprehensive laundrette facilities and plenty of open space for energetic youngsters to run around. The small Children's Play Park with swings, ropes and badminton net is a great place for children to play, as well as rockpools on the beach to explore!
Tourist Attractions The Beachside Holiday Park is only five minutes drive from the Mount Batten Centre - 2 miles away, where you can arrange almost any water sport including sailing and diving. From here it only takes 4 minutes by water taxi to the Barbican in Plymouth. Boat trips around the Sound and up the River Tamar to the Naval Dockyards can also be arranged. Within 1 mile is Staddons Heights golf club with panoramic views of Plymouth Sound, open to non-residents. The nearest riding stables are at Wembury, 5 miles away and there are beautiful trails along the coastal path for leisurely walks.
Plymouth City centre by road is only six miles away; here you will find a wide variety of excellent tourist attractions including the National Marine Aquarium, Plymouth Pavilions with a fabulous leisure pool and ice rink and The Theatre Royal where regularly London West End Shows start their life. If you are feeling adventurous, try the dry ski slope or toboggan run, open all year round.
The historical site of the Hoe should not be missed where Sir Francis Drake played his famous game of Bowls whilst the Spanish Armada approached nor should the Barbican where you will find an assortment of cobbled streets with small rustic shops and fashionable restaurants - in this area you will also find the Plymouth Gin factory which arranges regular factory tours.
