Description Our company was founded in 1905 when Ernie Taylor purchased a field by the sea at Westward Ho! nr Bideford. Teenagers started to use the field for camping, being at the Western end of the village it became known as Taylors Western. Faced with increased demand for holiday accommodation in the area the Taylor family expanded by opening Surf Bay Holiday Park in the early 1960s The park was also the site of the then fledgling caravan holiday home distribution business. This part of the operation grew slowly over the years to include new and used holiday home sales to a point where more space was essential. In 1989 a suitable 12 acre plot in Winkleigh, Devon was secured on the site of a disused airfield.
