The company was started by Peter Doman from modest beginnings. Working as an ambulance driver at the time, he supplemented his income by restoring and selling pre-owned cars. By chance, he bought a motorhome, which he sold quickly to a customer who was so enthusiastic about caravanning that he decided to try it himself. He took the family on a touring holiday, fell in love with the lifestyle, decided to mix business with pleasure.
